How long does the procedure take?

Breast lift surgery can take two to five hours, depending on which technique is used.

When can I go home?
Most women go home the day of surgery. You should arrange to have someone pick you up and take you home. You should have someone stay with you for the first 24 hours after you return home.

When can I get back to my normal routine?
Most women return to their normal activities in two weeks. However, you will not be able to lift anything for the first two weeks and will not be able to lift anything heavy lifting for at least four weeks. For the first two weeks after surgery, you should avoid raising your arms above your head.

When can I drive again?
Most women resume driving 7 to 10 days after surgery.

When can I go back to work?
Everyone is different. You will be tired after surgery. Depending on how you're feeling, Dr. Markus recommends starting back to work slowly after two to three weeks.
